Driver Monitoring Camera (DMS) for SANAN AI-MDVR Fleet Safety System
Driver Monitoring Camera (DMS) for SANAN AI-MDVR Fleet Safety System
The SANAN DMS (Driver Monitoring System) camera, also referred to as a driver state sensing camera, is a dedicated in-cabin infrared sensor designed to integrate with SANAN 4CH/8CH AI-MDVR systems. It continuously captures the driver's facial features and eye/gaze dynamics through a 1/2.7" CMOS sensor with IR night vision, detecting signs of fatigue (prolonged eye closure, frequent yawning, and head nodding) and distraction (looking away from the road, phone use, and smoking). Once an abnormal state is identified by the MDVR's embedded AI algorithm, the system triggers real-time visual and audio alerts on the monitor or platform to warn the driver before a hazardous situation escalates.
Unlike basic in-cabin cameras, the SANAN DMS solution fuses driver behavior analysis with the vehicle's ADAS inputs (where equipped), cross-referencing detected distraction patterns with actual driving conditions—such as speed, braking, or lane deviation—to reduce false alarms and support smarter intervention logic. The compact DMS camera connects via aviation-grade interface to the MDVR (supporting H.265 Linux-based platforms such as SA-MH1104 series), enabling fleet managers to remotely review DMS events, snapshots, and alert logs through the SANAN CMSV6 platform for compliance and safety auditing.
By combining high-accuracy in-cabin gaze & posture tracking with SANAN's ruggedized mobile DVR architecture, this DMS camera provides a critical bridge toward safer commercial mobility at scale—ideal for logistics trucks, buses, coaches, and heavy-duty fleets requiring proactive driver supervision.
