How does Fleet Telematics work?

A GPS-enabled vehicle tracking device is installed on each vehicle of your fleet to collect and transmit tracking data whilst using either the OBD port or CAN connection to obtain deeper vehicle performance data.

Once installed the device then continuously communicates and delivers real-time data using the 3G/4G network to the fleet management software portal, which you access online, at any time.

All fleet management systems will have either a GPS (Global Positioning System) or GLONASS (Global Networking Satellite System).

The fleet managers are then able to receive real-time vehicle tracking alerts including location, direction, speed, idle time, start/stop, and G-Sensor events, allowing them to run and manage more efficient fleet operations proactively.
